Nigger Ex-Cop Dunnigan Sues Peoria Police Over Racial Discrimination

February 20, 2009

Fuck This Lying Nigger!!

http://www.pjstar.com/news_police/x1824850120/Dunnigan-sues-city-on-discrimination-claim

PEORIA —

Peoria police Lt. Marshall Dunnigan continued his legal spat with City Hall with yet another lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court this week, alleging racial discrimination.

The suit, filed Wednesday, states the punishment the 28-year veteran received for allegations he took winnings from another gambler at the Par-A-Dice Riverboat Casino in November 2006 – he was fired – was “different and more severe than the discipline” imposed upon other white police employees.

Recently, the city gave Dunnigan $37,240 in back pay and benefits after an arbitrator ruled last year the city failed to establish Dunnigan committed a crime. The amount Dunnigan received was likely more as the city agreed to also repay his pension for the money Dunnigan withdrew while out of work for 16 months.

The suit filed this week seems to mirror that earlier arbitration, with a key difference being that Dunnigan is now asking for attorneys’ fees as well as “damages sufficient to compensate him for the emotional distress, mental anguish, embarrassment, inconvenience and loss in the enjoyment of life suffered by him.”

Dunnigan was fired in March 2007, and he has always maintained his termination was more about his displeasure with being passed over for promotion in 2005 and the subsequent filing of a human-rights complaint with state officials than about what happened at the casino.

In 2006, a Human Rights department investigator determined there was no “substantial evidence” to sustain the allegations.

The investigator summed up her report by saying, “The other candidates ranked superior to (Dunnigan). . . . There is no evidence of race, sex or age animus.”

When reached, City Attorney Randy Ray said he had not seen the lawsuit and couldn’t comment further.

In January 2008, Dunnigan filed a similar lawsuit in federal court. Both seek unspecified damages.

More Nigger Robberies Hit Peoria As Obama Fever Grows

PEORIA —

Police still are investigating the armed robbery of a local restaurant.

At about 8:40 p.m. Monday, two men armed with guns robbed the Spotted Cow at 718 W. Glen Ave. and escaped on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

A description of the robbers was not available from police Monday night.

No one in the restaurant was injured. Police have not made any arrests.

PEORIA —

For the second time in about as many weeks, masked gunmen robbed a Central Peoria gas station.

About 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, two males entered Circle K, 2416 N. University St., and demanded money from the clerk.

One of the males, armed with two guns, ordered a lone customer to lie face down on the floor while he yanked the victim’s wallet out of his pocket, reports stated. The other robber, also armed, turned his attention on the clerk, stealing an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

Witnesses reported seeing the men run south on University toward MacQueen Avenue after the robbery.

On Jan. 26, three men robbed the same gas station, pilfering cigarettes and taking money from the safe.

That crime, like Tuesday’s, remains unsolved and comes on the heels of more than two dozen similar robberies plaguing the city since the end of December.

Wave of Black Robberies Hit Peoria Following Obama Election

Peoria Robberies

PEORIA —

The hold-up of yet another business in Peoria on Monday night has some working in retail wondering if the crime spree will soon come to an end.

The armed robbery to Big Lots, 3013 N. Sterling Ave., about 8:20 p.m. by a man with a knife is the latest in a wave of heists plaguing the city.

No injuries were reported, though the robber poked an employee in the back with the knife until the cash register was emptied.

From bakeries and bars to video and convenience stores, it seems no business is safe. In January, there were 22 armed robberies, two to four a day in some instances.

“I don’t know what is going on. It seems like every day there’s another one. It’s crazy,” said a manager at of one of the two Butternut Bread thrift stores in Peoria. “You work in retail and you always have a chance of getting robbed. Police need to do something.”

Police have beefed up patrols but with so many robberies and very few leads, it’s difficult to know if one or more people or groups are responsible.

“It could be the same two people every time,” Peoria police spokesman Doug Burgess said. “But until we can pin it down, we’re not going to know for sure.”

Police thought they had put a stop to the robberies with the arrests of two teens last week after a botched purse snatching outside the Circle K gas station on Knoxville Avenue. One of the alleged robbers, Christopher Young, 18, of Peoria was arrested a second time over the weekend for the Jan. 10 armed robbery of two patrons of the Elbo Room, 631 W. Main St.

But even with those arrests, the robberies continue to occur.

“They’re hitting whoever,” said the Butternut manager, not wanting to give her name. “It’s a nervous situation.”

Because their stores have been held up three times since Dec. 29, bakery management has allowed the thrift stores to close an hour earlier, at 5 p.m. The businesses also are installing an upgraded security system.

“Hopefully that will help,” said the manager. “We don’t know what else to do to stay safe.”

Peoria is not alone in struggling to solve the cases.

Three of the robberies have occurred just outside city limits in Peoria County. In less than a week, Family Video, 3218 W. Harman Highway, was robbed twice, along with the U.S. Cellular store across the street.

“We are in communication with Peoria, comparing notes and working together to resolve this string of robberies,” said Peoria County Sheriff’s Capt. Dave Briggs. “We know from descriptions it’s not always the same people.”

Police have described the robbers as black men in their mid-teens to mid-20s. They range in height from 5 feet, 4 inches tall to 6 feet, 1 inch tall with medium builds. They wear dark clothing, gloves and sometimes black ski masks.

Some of the robberies may be linked because of the mannerisms of the suspects, but police have declined to elaborate on the suspects’ behavior because of the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information about the robbers or armed robberies can call CrimeStoppers anonymously at 673-9000 or the Peoria Police Department at 673-4521.

Nigger Minister sentenced to 20 years for illicit photos

February 2, 2009

http://www.pjstar.com/news_police/x1971916935/Minister-sentenced-to-20-years-for-illicit-photos

PEORIA —

Calling his actions “abominable” and “horrific,” a federal judge handed down a 20-year prison sentence for a former Bloomington substitute teacher and minister who sedated and then took illicit pictures of several underage boys.

The sentencing hearing for James C. Love, 37, of the 1200 block of South Barker in Bloomington was short but didn’t lack in emotion or drama. One couple read an impact statement describing the toll Love’s actions have had on their family. Another family’s letter was read by a prosecutor. In that letter, the parents wished physical harm to Love, saying they have lost control of their son, a former three-sport letterman, at a Bloomington high school.

Love admitted at a plea hearing in October that he photographed several minors while they were sleeping on a futon at Love’s residence.

During the hearing, he apologized, saying he hoped the families could find it in their hearts to forgive him. Mihm agreed that was possible but also noted that what Love did could never be fixed.

“This is pain for these people that will last a lifetime. It is a pain that, at least on some level, will never heal,” the judge said.

On the other side was Love’s family. About a dozen members listened quietly as the letters were read. In their letters, which were given to the court, they saw Love a different way – as a caring man who helped the community.

However, those actions, Mihm said in quoting Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” would “be interred with his bones,” while the bad deeds live on.

The sentence was part of a rare fully negotiated deal with prosecutors. Such deals are not common in federal court, where a person’s sentencing range is determined by the U.S. Probation Office.

That range had been determined to be at about 30 years. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kirk Schoenbein said the deal took into account the nuances of the case and also that Love’s plea allowed the children involved not to testify.

Also as part of the deal, he agreed to surrender his digital camera and identify any of the subjects in the photographs. Police believe about 20 children were involved but have identified only three so far.

Love had been a substitute teacher for District 87 in Bloomington and Unit 5 in Normal since 2003. He ministered at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington.

Additionally, charges of criminal sexual assault and aggravated battery in McLean County court were dropped as part of the federal plea agreement. He initially was arrested in May 2007 after allegations he molested boys at his home.

Mihm also placed Love on a lifetime term of supervised release, the federal version of probation. Love will likely serve about 17 1/2 years of his sentence.

Peoria Nigger Gets 20 years for dealing Drugs

February 2, 2009

http://www.pjstar.com/news_police/x1971916937/Drug-dealer-gets-20-year-sentence

PEORIA —

The size and scope of Carlos “Bader” Williams’ drug ring was so large that it even amazed U.S. District Judge Joe B. McDade who has presided over hundreds of similar cases in his 17-year career.

“You were a major drug dealer,” the judge said Friday. “This is one of the largest drug conspiracies I have seen.”

Conservative estimates linked Williams, 35, to 20 kilograms of crack cocaine, a staggering amount considering a standard dose is about 0.2 grams. The drugs were sold over a decade and had an estimated street value of about $2 million.

The numbers and the statements came at Williams’ sentencing, where he received a 30-year prison term, which was at the bottom of his guideline range. He had faced up to life.

Two others in Williams’ organization also were sentenced. William E. “Pookey” Sproling received five years behind bars and Daryl “Buck” Miller got 20 years, the mandatory minimum under federal law. All three pleaded to the same count, drug trafficking conspiracy.

More than 20 people filled McDade’s courtroom for Williams’ hearing. His attorney, Ron Hamm, sought the 20-year mandatory minimum, saying his client had a rough childhood and grew up to idolize his brothers, who were in prison on drug charges.

Williams himself gave a passionate and articulate plea, saying he learned and wanted to be a youth counselor when he got out of prison to teach people about the evils of fast money. McDade was touched by his statements but noted that Williams had a chance to do right and chose the easy way out.

But the judge also noted that everyone has a good side, taking note of those in the audience. Williams, he said, would have been hailed as a “hero” had he pursued a legal endeavor.

“What a waste. You have organizational skills. You have leadership, and now all of that is wasted,” the judge said.

The judge also lamented the draconian federal sentencing guidelines, which severely punish crack cocaine crimes.

“Anyone who wants to get into the drug business, anyone who sells crack cocaine is stupid,” the judge said, noting that with one prior drug conviction, there’s a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years. Two priors could get a person life in prison.

And then there was the money aspect. “In all my time here, I have never seen (it) except in maybe one or two cases. Where’s the money? It is all gone, and all that risk, all that hard work is for nothing.”

The arrests were part of Operation Rockclimb, a federal effort against the Black P. Stones street gang. Unlike past operations such as Crackshot, which took on the Gangster Disciplines in the mid-1990s, Rockclimb has made extensive use of wiretaps to build cases. More than two dozen people so far have been indicted.

And one of those made her first appearance in court on Friday, hours after Williams was sentenced. Tyrissa Carruthers, 26, of 2121 W. Starr St. was charged with drug trafficking conspiracy and to using a telephone to further the conspiracy.

Her indictment was returned Wednesday but sealed until she appeared in court. According to the charges, she rented an apartment for Williams to store drugs as well as delivered crack for Williams.

Niggers do a Drive-by on Peoria House

PEORIA —

Police found five bullet holes in the side of a house after a drive-by shooting Tuesday morning.

A man on the 1900 block of West Howett Street called police around 1:35 a.m. to report hearing five to six gunshots fired outside while he was lying in bed. He also said he had heard six to seven shots about a half hour earlier but had not called police.

According to police reports, five bullet holes were found in the side of the man’s house. Officers also found five shell casings lying on the street.

A neighbor told police she witnessed the shooting. The woman placed the time of the shooting closer to 1 a.m. After hearing a single gunshot, the woman looked out her window. She saw a dark blue or black car. She said a man leaned out across the windshield with a semiautomatic handgun and fired five or six more shots before driving off.

No arrest have been made.
